Learner-Code-of-Conduct-(2)

The following contains general rules that will govern and manage learner behaviour and conduct who have registered for any internal or external course(s), module(s) or unit(s) within or via the Watson Corporate Academy:

  • the Watson Corporate Academy may require proof of good conduct before selecting and nominating a learner
  • the Watson Corporate Academy does not accept liability for loss or theft of, or damage to, property caused by a learner(s) during attendance
  • the vehicle of any learner entering or leaving the Watson Corporate Academy campus may be searched
  • a learner must display his/her identification card or access card at all times while on the campus of the Watson Corporate Academy at Mogale Business Park or any satellite site
  • every learner is subject to the disciplinary codes of the Watson Corporate Academy, their direct department/division and of the BOSASA Group of Companies

A learner shall:

  • at all times conduct himself/herself with respect
  • obey instructions given to him/her by a member of the Watson Corporate Academy academic and or administrative staff member

A learner shall not:

  • be in position of a fire-arm (s) (including air-rifles or air guns) or any other dangerous weapons while attending a course/programme at the Watson Corporate Academy
  • damage property by wilful or negligent acts
  • reproduce or distribute copies of the Watson Corporate Academy learning guides or lecture notes without the written consent of the Executive Chairperson or Director of Education/CLO of the Watson Corporate Academy who represents the Chief Executive Officer

Learner Code of Conduct
Any person or body wishing to conduct an opinion poll amongst learners shall obtain prior consent therefore from:

  • The Executive Chairperson or Director of Education/CLO of the Watson Corporate Academy and the Facilitator of the relevant Course if the poll relates to an academic matter.
  • The Executive Chairperson or Director/CLO of the Watson Corporate Academy who represents the Chief Executive Officer, if the opinion poll deals with a non-academic matter.
